Cook together until almost tender, drain.
1 ½ cups carrots (5 medium), 1 medium onion
Cook separately until almost tender
1 10 oz package frozen asparagus
Melt together.
3 tbsp butter, 3 tbsp flour
Add
1 ½ cup milk
Remove from heat and make cheese sauce adding
1 cup American cheese, ¼ tsp salt, 1 dash pepper
Place half of the vegetables in the bottom of casserole, then add half of the sauce.
Repeat layers.
Top with
1 can french fried onion rings
Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until brown
