Asparagus Carrot Casserole

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups carrots (5 medium) sliced
  • 1 medium onion sliced
  • 1 10 oz package frozen asparagus
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup American cheese shredded
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 can french fried onion rings

Instructions
 

  • Cook together until almost tender, drain.
    1 ½ cups carrots (5 medium), 1 medium onion
  • Cook separately until almost tender
    1 10 oz package frozen asparagus
  • Melt together.
    3 tbsp butter, 3 tbsp flour
  • Add
    1 ½ cup milk
  • Remove from heat and make cheese sauce adding
    1 cup American cheese, ¼ tsp salt, 1 dash pepper
  • Place half of the vegetables in the bottom of casserole, then add half of the sauce.
  • Repeat layers.
  • Top with
    1 can french fried onion rings
  • Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until brown
