Cream shortening and sugar.
¾ cup shortening, 1 ½ cups sugar
Combine.
1 cup tomato soup, ½ cup liqueur, ¼ cup maraschino cherry juice, 1 tsp soda
Add to creamed mixture.
Combine fruits and nuts.
Add some of the dry ingredients to fruit and nuts to coat.
Add remaining dry to creamy mixture.
Add fruits and mix well.
Bake at 250° about 2 hours.
Makes 2 large or 4 small cakes.
