Cheese Danish

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup margarine
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 16 oz cream cheese
  • 1 egg

Instructions
 

Crust

  • Mix dry yeast, (1 tsp) sugar and warm water.
  • Let sit ten minutes.
  • In a large bowl cut margarine into flour.
  • Add salt and slightly beaten egg to yeast.
  • Add all to flour mixture.
  • Make into two balls.
  • Roll each to about 8×10.
  • Put on ungreased baking sheet.

Filling

  • Mix cream cheese, (1 cup) sugar, lemon juice thoroughly
  • Spread on crust
  • Fold up edges.
  • Bake at 375° for about 25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
