Cheese Danish
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 package dry yeast
- 3/4 cup margarine
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 16 oz cream cheese
- 1 egg
Instructions
Crust
- Mix dry yeast, (1 tsp) sugar and warm water.
- Let sit ten minutes.
- In a large bowl cut margarine into flour.
- Add salt and slightly beaten egg to yeast.
- Add all to flour mixture.
- Make into two balls.
- Roll each to about 8×10.
- Put on ungreased baking sheet.
Filling
- Mix cream cheese, (1 cup) sugar, lemon juice thoroughly
- Spread on crust
- Fold up edges.
- Bake at 375° for about 25 minutes.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
