Crisp Toffee Bar

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 6 oz pkg chocolate chips
  • 1 cup nuts chopped

Instructions
 

  • Thoroughly cream together
    1 cup butter or margarine, 1 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp vanilla
  • Add sifted flour
    2 cups flour
  • Stir in
    1 6 oz pkg chocolate chips, 1 cup nuts
  • Bake in moderate oven 350°.
  • Press mixture in the bottom of ungreased 9×13 pan

Notes

The chocolate chips may be substituted with coconut, butterscotch chips, peanut butter chips or whatever you prefer.
