Chocolate Cake

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups flour, less 3 tablespoons
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cocoa (level)
  • tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • cup oil
  • 1 cup water

Frosting

  • ¼ cup butter
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • vanilla

Instructions
 

  • Sift together on paper then sift into ungreased 8×8 pan.
  • Make 3 wells in mixture, pour in vanilla, vinegar, oil.
  • Pour water and stir with form until well mixed.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Frosting

  • Stir and boil 1 minute.
    ¼ cup butter, ¼ cup milk, 1 cup sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa, 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Add and beat.
    vanilla
  • Spread on cake.
