Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients
  

Cake

  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 4 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Frosting

  • 1 stick oleo
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 4 tbsp cocoa
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 2 cups nuts chopped

Instructions
 

Cake

  • Put olio, cocoa and water in pan and bring to rapid boil while stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  • Mix together flour, sugar and cocoa mixture.
  • Add other ingredients and blend until batter is smooth.
  • Pour into greased and floured 11 x 17 pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  • Frost immediately

Frosting

  • In sauce pan, combine oleo, cocoa and milk.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent lumps.
  • Remove from heat and add sugar, vanilla and nuts.
  • Spread on hot cake
