Snowballs
Butter Balls / Snowballs / Russian Tea Cakes
Tasty with many different names,
Ingredients
- 1 pound Butter
- 4 Tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 c flour sifted
- 1 c chopped nuts
- 2 c powered sugar for rolling the cookies in after they are baked
Instructions
- Cream butter & sugar till light & fluffy
- Add vanilla
- Add flour
- Add nuts, mix well
- Chill 30 min.
- Shape into balls & bake on ungreased Cookie sheet @ 350. 15-18 Min..
- Roll in Powdered sugar while hot.
- Roll again in powder sugar when cool.
Notes
Use the same recipe for thumbprints. Press your thumb into the ball before baking. After cooled, add a drop of frosting to center
